(And Tennessee Thresher, who was on Not My Bagg, and it was the same person.) Where did you get "In 2022, Baggs began an online social media presence, particularly on TikTok where he would post comedic sketches, pop culture commentary, and lifestyle content. Joe then hosted a slot on BBC Radio 1 on Christmas Day 2022, alongside his brother.[18] In September 2022, Baggs launched the weekly podcast Not My Bagg[19], co-hosted with his brother George and sometimes their mother, Lisa.[20]", because it doesn't seem to be in Digital Spy or Deadline?--Launchballer22:08, 24 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Number of QPQs required: 2. DYK is currently in unreviewed backlog mode and nominator has 373 past nominations.
Overall: Giving this a proper review while waiting for the AFD. Article is new enough and long enough. Hook fact is... something. Might get pushback for DYK:GRAT reasons. QPQ is done (double hook). Copyvio tool finds no issues. So basically, looks like we are waiting on the AFD, though I'd like to see some alts if possible. —Chris Woodrich (talk) 20:18, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Promoter query:@Launchballer, Narutolovehinata5, and Crisco 1492: I prefer ALT1 but it doesn't quite read correctly to me. Filmed watching TV for three series of what? I'm assuming Gogglebox, so we could just say that, but I wanted to ask if you'd prefer to reword to make it a bit more 'mysterious' as I think adding Gogglebox makes it less interesting and enticing. SnowyRiver28(talk)10:45, 5 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don't mean adding the what as a part of the hook, I meant it's unclear to me what 'filmed for three series' means; it doesn't quite make sense at first glance. SnowyRiver28(talk)03:45, 8 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I know what filmed means, what I’m trying to say is that the phrasing of the second half of the hook seems incomplete and doesn’t make sense. Perhaps some other editors can weigh in here and we’ll see if it’s just my reading of it that’s causing me confusion. SnowyRiver28(talk)02:04, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I understand that "series" is the common terminology in British English, but "series" can be ambiguous for most of the world. Even though we tend to prefer local English whenever possible, this could be an IAR case where the American term is preferred since the American sense is well-known enough in Britain anyway. Having said that, even if the hook was changed to something like "... that Joe Baggs was filmed watching TV for three seasons of the show Gogglebox", I'm not sure if that works either. I'm hesitant about ALT0 due to DYKGRAT issues. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 02:04, 27 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've been thinking about ALT0 and ALT1a, and I'm starting to think that both angles are unworkable due to being confusing. Both ultimately mean "he watched TV for TV", but in what capacity? Were the shows he filmed (the family ones) primarily about them watching TV for TV purposes? It's explained in the article, but as written, neither hook expresses that point well. The elephant in the room with ALT0 is also the gratuitousness, but even without that the confusion issue remains. Given this is past time out, I would recommend this being marked for closure unless a completely different angle can be proposed here. The only other hooks I can think of would be to do with him launching a drag queen persona or that he made his first TV appearances with his family. I maintain that the "in what capacity" is excessive detail for the hook.--Launchballer16:06, 29 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Sometimes, hook facts are simply too complex to be adequately explained in a hook, especially if no matter how it's worded, it reads awkwardly. I wonder if this just has to be let go unfortunately. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 01:10, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
It's a shame CelebMix is questionable since I could have tacked it on to Max Balegde (since he was part of that). The only other suggestion I can think of is ALT1b: ... that a TV series broadcast several seasons of Joe Baggs and others watching TV?, so unless @Georgeykiwi: has any suggestions, this might be another 'bring-it-back-through-GA' jobby.--Launchballer19:00, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Could we possibly link the TV to their podcast and do something along the lines of ALT1c: ... that due to the success of their TV appearances, Joe Baggs and family started a podcast? George (talk) 19:23, 30 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Given concerns about sourcing and how this is already past DYKTIMEOUT, I am timing this out, without prejudice against renominating once it is brought to GA. Bringing to GA should also address any outstanding concerns and may even lead to new hooks. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 03:45, 2 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
There have never been any concerns regarding this article's sourcing because CelebMix has never been in this article. If RSN clears that source, would you object to me adding this to Max Balegde?--Launchballer04:12, 2 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Even without the sourcing issues (since that appears to be a different nomination), the other issue is the hooks. ALT1c was objected to, and even ALT1b is weak though usable. I think that bringing this to GA, even if it means a later run, would be a better option, since such an expansion would also likely mean more hook options.
