inconsistencies

edit

According to our article, Moonee Valley Racecourse was established in 1883, yet she claimed a first place in 1864. cygnis insignis 01:01, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Good catch! See the ongoing discussion of other inconsistencies regarding her age at WT:LONGEVITY#Elizabeth Williams Berry. — JFG talk 01:35, 18 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Interesting find. Given that she gave most of her interviews when she was elderly (however elderly she may have been in reality), I suspectshe got her years mixed up pretty good. Montanabw(talk) 06:50, 30 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Birthdate and subsequent age mentions throughout the article are almost certainly false

edit

Similar to what the previous topic said, her age is very dubious, but I'm making a new topic because the other one is 7 years old. If her age was real, she would be the oldest human born in Australia, ever, by over 100 days. Not only this, she doesn't appear on List of the verified oldest people due to no supporting documents for age. Claims like this are WP:EXCEPTIONAL and should rely on more than just this lady's word, which as the July 2019 discussion about her seems to agree with, is what the sources for this article are relying on. Given the noted problem about her winning a race at a racetrack that was yet to exist, her age probably shouldn't even be stated as anything more than a false claim. With articles not agreeing about what ages she was racing at, she probably should have her birthdate be described as sometime potentially well over a decade later than what she claimed.
