Ľubomír Švajlen (born 17 February 1964 in Košice) is a Slovak former handball player and current coach. He competed in the 1988 and 1992 Summer Olympics, representing Czechoslovakia.[2] He was named Slovakian handballer of the year three times, in 1990, 1993 and 1994.[3]

After his playing career he became the goalkeeping coach at GC Amicitia Zürich.[4] From 2008 to 2013 he was the assistant coach on the Swiss national team under Goran Perkovac.[5] From 2013 he has been the goalkeeping coach at HC Kriens-Luzern.[6]

editHis son Michal Svajlen is also a handball goalkeeper who represented Switzerland internationally.[7]
