ROS and OPSEK

edit

Now that ROSS has become ROS (Russian Orbital Station) with the same plan as OPSEK, shouldn't Russian Orbital Station and OPSEK be merged together, as iterations of the same project? ROS is no longer a new station built from scratch, but the OPSEK plan, of taking modules from the ISS and building out a separate station. -- ~2026-21583-41 (talk) 03:22, 18 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Or, if OPSEK is kept separate, then Russian Orbital Station and Russian Orbital Service Station (new build station) should instead be separated, as the plan for a new build station is not the current plan -- ~2026-21583-41 (talk) 03:24, 18 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

WikiProject Rocketry

edit

Hello. I have been looking through Wikipedia:WikiProject Rocketry, and realised it's dead. I'm trying to revive it. Are there any articles we could collaborate on? AZenit3 (talk) 02:04, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yes, there is considerable overlap. Petscan shows 1368 articles flagged as being of interest to both WikiProjects:

Note that obviously rocketry is used for many applications other than spaceflight, and spaceflight includes many subjects unrelated to rocketry. ( 𝐬𝐝𝐒𝐝𝐬  - talk) 23:14, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Recreate space stations task force

edit

Could we recreate Mir, ISS and Gateway task force as Mir, ISS and Tiangong task force now that Gateway is dead? Doeze (talk) 19:43, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

The old task force asserted it was a "child" of both Wikiproject Spaceflight and Wikipedia:WikiProject International relations. If the task force is resurrected in a similar form (as seems appropriate) it likely makes sense to do it after consultation with them. Which stations are in-scope? ISS obviously. Mir due to Shuttle-Mir. Has Tiangong been visited by a vehicle launched by another country? ( 𝐬𝐝𝐒𝐝𝐬  - talk) 01:47, 13 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
