Phillies History Article Deletion Proposal

edit

I propose that the History of the Philadelphia Phillies article be removed and the history section simply remain on the team's main article. The history section on the main article is much more detailed and organized. Whiterabbitzero (talk) 09:15, 15 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Retired Numbers

edit

For anyone who doesn't know, the Phillies just announced tonight that they were retiring the jerseys of Ed Delahanty, Billy Hamilton, and Sam Thompson, each giving them the honorary "P" that they do with Grover Cleveland Alexander and Chuck Klein. I notice the person who designed all the retired number graphics has retired from Wikipedia, so I just used the graphic for Grover Cleveland Alexander's "P" for the three new players, since Chuck Klein's "P" is a different style that seems to reflect the 1920s/30s. I just wanted to bring this to attention if the "P" that I used does not reflect the logo design the Phillies had during the era these three players were around, and if that should be changed. "Phillers" nickname

edit

I see we have "The Phillers" in the "other nicknames" section of the infobox. Is this just a really old historical nickname? I personally have never heard this being used in my life, and I have heard of all the other nicknames countless times. Red0ctober22 (talk) 02:18, 21 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
