Augustus as a good topic candidate
editHello! My FA on Augustus is currently undergoing a Featured article review, so I cannot nominate it and its sub-articles for Good Topic status just yet. Judging by the current votes, it looks like its FA status will be kept. However, I'm wondering if I should get Wars of Augustus up to Good status before starting a nomination process? Since it might be considered a gap and vital article missing from the bunch.
Technically I have the minimum amount of articles: Augustus is an FA, while I have managed to raise its sibling articles (1) Early life of Augustus, (2) Rise of Augustus, and (3) Reign of Augustus up to GA status. These articles were created for providing further details that could not fit into the main article, per WP:SUMMARY and WP:SPLIT. I'd like to know what others think about that, and if related articles like Constitutional reforms of Augustus, Cultural depictions of Augustus, or even Coinage reform of Augustus and Coins of Augustus should also have GANs before a Good topic nomination should be considered.
In the past I have successfully nominated a couple Featured topics for China's Han dynasty and Song dynasty, and one Good topic on Macedonia (ancient kingdom). Judging by the latter, there are plenty of related articles about Macedonia and ancient Greece that were excluded from that topic, including ones about Alexander the Great, and yet reviewers saw no problem with it. Perhaps I don't need "Wars of Augustus", then? If not that would be a relief, since the article is not in very good condition, even after some edits of mine lately to spruce it up a bit. It has a few problems with short length, scope, and sourcing (too many primary source citations). Pericles of AthensTalk 20:01, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Featured topics/Cleopatra only has the life stages articles. However, coming into it without comparisons I would be looking at whichever articles are considered "Main article" subtopics of Augustus. CMD (talk) 05:43, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- @Chipmunkdavis Hello! Good comparison. Yes, I also wrote and nominated those articles on Cleopatra, though she does not have a larger variety of articles about her beyond List of cultural depictions of Cleopatra. The three WP:SPLIT articles on Augustus and his life stages mentioned above are definitely the "main article" subtopics. If anything, Wars of Augustus might now be considered a subtopic of both the main article and the split article Reign of Augustus. Thanks for offering your perspective, though; it makes me more confident in my decision to only include the life stages articles when I create the nomination. Empty FGTC categories
editHey there. I got a bunch of empty category speedy deletion notifications on my user talk today. They're related to featured/good topics. Has someone been renaming good topic or featured topic pages recently? Did they forget to fix the categories? Can someone help me investigate this? The empty categories are:
- Category:Wikipedia featured topics Avengers (Marvel Cinematic Universe) films good content
- Category:Wikipedia featured topics Doctor Who season 2 good content
- Category:Wikipedia featured topics Doctor Who season 2
- Category:Wikipedia featured topics Doctor Who series 6
- Category:Wikipedia featured topics Doctor Who series 6 good content
- Category:Wikipedia featured topics Avengers (Marvel Cinematic Universe) films

- Looks like @Gonnym did some changes a couple days ago with the categories. -- ZooBlazer 21:25, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- The categories were renamed, but because they are populated through a template parameter the bot carrying out the renames couldn't move them over to the new category and that needs to be done manually. Regards, Armbrust The Homunculus 18:00, 12 April 2026 (UTC)
- Has someone done the manual part? Any further action needed to clean things up? –Novem Linguae (talk) 03:12, 21 April 2026 (UTC)
- At least in terms of the Marvel ones, things got kind of messy with the renaming, which should have been a discussion before things were renamed anyway. There is currently a discussion regarding things at the MCU task force WP, so if anything is done/undone you may or may not receive additional notifications, so sorry if that does happen. -- ZooBlazer 03:40, 21 April 2026 (UTC)

Thinking about making this WP:Good topics/Music for Born Pink. The reason is, some tracks for Born Pink, especially "Pink Venom", "Shut Down", and "Hard to Love" are good articles. Also, Born Pink is also the good article. Thus, per this criteria, this nominated topic could be listed. Sinsyuan✍️PJTW 06:28, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- For Albums, meeting criteria 1d probably means all the tracks need to be Good Articles. CMD (talk) 06:48, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- emm...
- Wikipedia:Good topics/Here We Go Again (Demi Lovato album) provides one mother article with two related sub articles (although this album has 14 tracks, regular version).
- Wikipedia:Good topics/Hey Venus! provides one mother article with three related sub articles (although this album has 11 tracks, regular version).
- Sinsyuan✍️PJTW 07:01, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- It appears in those two cases that the other songs on the albums (caveat that one appears to have bonus/international ones not included) don't have articles, however there seems to be articles for every Born Pink track. CMD (talk) 07:51, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oh, my goodneess! When each song for this album is created into Wikipedia article, it might be very tricky that all of which are forced to become good article in order to send to good topic. No matter there aren't any good topics for K-pop songs at present. Sinsyuan✍️PJTW 08:25, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
- Also the concert tour supporting the album needs also be a good article. Regards, Armbrust The Homunculus 14:04, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Oh, that why it is too difficult to promote. Sinsyuan✍️PJTW 02:14, 13 May 2026 (UTC)

Admiral Robert Blake as featured article
editThis man has had an incredibly interesting naval career and is almost unheard of. I feel like he is a good candidae for a featured article, as the page makes good reading and will educate many on a part of history very few know.

Is the bot working?
editHi, saw that my nomination for the North East Line stations have been promoted but the bot doesn't seem to be working.--ZKang123 (talk · contribs) 05:43, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
