Guidelines

edit

Welcome! Below are some of the actions you can take to help the task force achieve the aforementioned goals.

Tagging and assessment

edit

Any articles that are within the scope of this task force should be tagged with Irish=yes in their Talk page (literally {{WikiProject Football |Irish=yes}}). This will automatically put the page in the appropriate categories.

{{WikiProject Football |Irish=yes}}

Note: Ireland=yes and Irish=y are technically valid but are non-standard inputs.

Article rating

edit

The WikiProject Football's assessment department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's football related articles. Below is a table of Irish football articles listed by quality and importance:

The following is a set of rough guidelines for assessing importance to articles within the scope of the taskforce:

  • Top - Vital to an understanding of Irish football.
  • High - Significant events in Irish football history, vital contributions to Irish football, Irish international record holders, world renowned Irish players or managers, current international team stadia, top level leagues.
  • Mid - Considerable contributions to Irish football, Irish club record holders, Irish international footballers, Irish professional clubs, previous international team stadia.
  • Low - Notable events in Irish football history, minor contributions to Irish football, Irish professional footballers, Irish non-league or amateur clubs that have played at a national level.

The proportion of all articles with an assessed project banner is:

100% assessed (estimate: some more article talk pages may still need a banner)

The proportion of all articles with known importance is:

99.2% known importance (Note that articles inherit importance from the main football project by default, though this can be changed to a task force-specific rating)
