Who should participate:
- Everyone, as this event is open to the public! LAPL patrons are most certainly welcome to join. No Wikipedia editing experience is necessary; there will be tutorials and experienced editors who will be happy to help. (If you are unfamiliar with Wikipedia, it's easy to get started with this guided tutorial.)
Cost: Free (please register below!)

Getting there!

Parking

Free parking is limited - get here early or explore public transport options below.

The library has a small parking lot adjacent to the building; if driving north on Alvarado, the lot and the library will be on your right.
If the lot is full, there is metered street parking along Alvarado, Olympic Boulevard and James M. Wood Boulevard (9th Street), and free street parking on 11th Street, Lake Street and Westlake Avenue. If parking on the northbound side of Alvarado beyond James M. Wood, the bus lane is not active on Saturdays. Metered street parking in this area will work as normal.
There is also a paid parking lot on Alvarado north of Olympic, between the Mobil gas station and Mission Dental.

Public Transport

Metro Local buses 2 and 28 stop near or adjacent to the Pico–Union Branch Library at Alvarado and Olympic. Bus 2 also stops at Alvarado and 11th, at the end of the block where the library is located.
The B and D Lines of the Metro Rail stop 0.6 miles (0.97 km) north of the library at Westlake/MacArthur Park, a ten-minute walk away. Metro Local bus 2 also stops at the station.
