Took place: Saturday 14th November — 15:00 onwards

Location: CB2 cybercafé, Norfolk St, Cambridge, CB1 2LD UK

Present

edit

Came to CB2:

Topics included technology, Dictionary of National Biography, and True Knowledge. Then some of us went off to the pub around 6.45 for what turned into a long session.

Planning

edit

Now planning the fifth Cambridge meetup. On the previous pattern, I suggest the afternoon of Saturday 14 November, at CB2 cybercafé on Norfolk Street from 3 pm to about 6 pm, adjourn to a pub for those who want dinner. Charles Matthews (talk) 14:15, 16 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We seem OK with this without the traditional debate, so this is confirmed. Here's the traditional map for those who don't know their way there. CB2 has food, drink, and wi-fi we didn't use last time. Charles Matthews (talk) 15:54, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh well I failed - sorry. I blame my children William M. Connolley (talk) 19:40, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely - you and WMC. Charles Matthews (talk)
Clearly you've never been to a meetup before ... but go upstairs in CB2 and look for ...
... this man ...
... trying to get people interested in Wikimedia UK membership forms, or waving his hands and talking about the Dictionary of National Biography with a Wikimania sunhat on. Or we could all agree to wear a green carnation in our buttonhole, maybe. (There is usually only one group who could be Wikipedians. I'll tell you the ferret story when I see you). Charles Matthews (talk) 19:34, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
LOL, right! thanks! --Cyclopiatalk 19:38, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it would be more amusing than telling you to look on my user page; though possibly less amusing than posting a photo of User:Jdforrester and making something up about it. Charles Matthews (talk) 19:51, 13 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately I will miss it. Bad weather+work deadlines conspired against me. Sorry. --Cyclopiatalk 15:03, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
