RFC open at Ayyubid dynasty

edit

An RFC has been opened at Talk:Ayyubid dynasty#RFC: Inclusion of Rawādīya origins and Ayyubid-sponsored genealogies in Origins section regarding the inclusion of sourced scholarly material on Rawādīya origins in the Origins section. Input from editors familiar with this topic area would be welcome. Nobedarê Dunav (talk) 14:08, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Request for assistance about Ayyubid dynasty

edit

There is a dispute at DRN in which the filing editor has requested: Someone preferably with experience in the topic area reviewing the Talk page discussion and assessing whether the proposed wording appropriately reflects Encyclopaedia Iranica with attribution and due weight, and whether the genealogies material in particular warrants inclusion in the Origins section given that its exclusion has never received a policy-based justification from the opposing editor. If someone has that experience, will they please look at the dispute at DRN and at the article at Ayyubid dynasty, and enter their name and opinion in the dispute at DRN? London Community Centre Raid and subsequent trial.

Would this be a valid article topic? It's a story that hasn't got a ton of media attention, but a bit, and there are articles of trials and so on that have gotten less. It's an article i am interested in writing, but i am unsure of the viability of it as an article. Would appreciate some input.

Help with Draft:Milet Mihemed - Notability Question

edit

Hello fellow editors,

I am working on Draft:Milet Mihemed, a Kurdish poet who won first place in poetry at the 27th International Galawêj Festival in 2023.

I have 4 sources providing significant coverage:

1. PUKmedia (EN): https://www.pukmedia.com/EN/Details/77334 - Confirms award and names his poetry collection "Min Bûyta Baran". 2. KNWE.org (KU): https://knwe.org/KU/Details/24032 - Confirms award win. 3. Kurdsat TV: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1BUTaynpgQ/ - 4-minute interview with the subject at the festival, discussing his book and the award. 4. Waar TV: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1JY7fQLVfo/ - 1 minute 5 seconds interview segment with the subject at the festival.

At Wikipedia:Teahouse, an editor said this fails WP:SIGCOV. However, Kurdsat TV dedicated a 4-minute interview to the subject speaking about his work.

As editors familiar with Kurdish media, my questions are: 1. Do you consider Kurdsat News and Waar TV reliable sources per WP:RS? 2. Does a 4-minute dedicated TV interview count as "significant coverage" for a poet under WP:GNG?

The Galawêj Festival itself has articles on Kurdish and Persian Wikipedia.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. ~2026-36845-53 (talk) 00:08, 26 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
