Ice hockey team categories

Hello,

I noticed you've been adding categories to PWHL player pages. I wanted to let you know that we do not add categories such as Category:Boston Fleet players until a player has actually played for the team in question.

Thank you! Wheatzilopochtli (talk) 02:12, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Wheatzilopochtli: Do you have a link to this policy? Aspening (talk) 03:05, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I have tagged Category:PWHL Seattle players and Category:PWHL Vancouver players as empty before seeing this thread. Wheatzilopochtli, can you resolve the matter with Aspening to avoid a back-and-forth in depopulating and repopulating the category? plicit 03:24, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
I do not have a link but it is longstanding consensus of WP:NHL. I can start a discussion there if you would like. Wheatzilopochtli (talk) 04:54, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Wheatzilopochtli: I'll start one, thanks. Aspening (talk) 02:17, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
