Om Prakash Patidar (born 12-09-1977) is an Indian educator and science teacher based in Shajapur district, Madhya Pradesh. He is (or was) associated with Government Excellence Higher Secondary School, Shajapur.

Career and contributions

Patidar has employed modern teaching methods, using ICT to simplify science and make learning more engaging.

He also helped prepare a public biodiversity register for Shajapur, linking school education with local ecological awareness and community‑level environmental work.[1]

Early Life

Om Prakash Patidar hails from Ramdi village in Kalapipal tehsil, Shajapur district, Madhya Pradesh. His father, Baijnath Patidar, is a farmer in the same village, and he has two sons: Hardik Patidar and Swastik Patidar. Patidar completed his higher secondary education in Shujalpur. ​[3]

Patidar earned his master's degree in zoology from Vikram University in Ujjain.​

He is married to Sangeeta Patidar.​

Professional Career

Patidar serves as a science lecturer at the Government Excellence Higher Secondary School in Shajapur, Madhya Pradesh. In 2022, he received the National Teachers' Award from President Droupadi Murmu for innovative teaching practices, including using ICT to simplify science and creating a public biodiversity register.[4]
