Chorý joined Viktoria Plzeň in the 2018 summer transfer window.[2] He scored two goals in a 2022–23 UEFA Champions League group stage match against Barcelona.[3] Chorý won his second title in the 2021–22 Czech First League on 15 May 2022.[4] In April 2024, he signed a contract with Viktoria Plzeň until 2027.[5]

On 5 October 2020, Chorý went on loan to Belgian club Zulte-Waregem,[6] scoring four goals at the 2020–21 Belgian First Division A.[7]

On 3 July 2024, Chorý signed a contract with Slavia Prague until 30 June 2027.[8]

On 7 August 2025, Chorý was banned by the LFA Disciplinary commission for six matches after he hit goalkeeper Milan Heča to the crotch in the away match against Slovácko.[9]

On 12 April 2026, in the home goalless draw with Viktoria Plzeň, Chorý received yellow card after a tackle with Sampson Dweh. The yellow card was changed to a red card after VAR intervention, when Chorý immediately afterwards allegedly spat at Dweh while yelled at him.[10] Chorý said after the match, that he yelled at Dweh but denied spitting on him. Slavia manager Jindřich Trpišovský said he did not see any spitting. Slavia filled a complaint in protest against the verdict.[11] On 16 April 2026, Slavia chairman Jaroslav Tvrdík personally defended Chorý in front of the LFA Disciplinary commission.[12] As a verdict, Chorý was banned for one match, the disciplinary commission stated that they did not see any intentional spitting.[13]

On 9 May 2026, Chorý in the Prague derby received yellow card after he elbowed Sparta defender Asger Sørensen to the head. The yellow card was changed to a red card after VAR intervention. Slavia chairman Jaroslav Tvrdík said that Chorý cannot control his behavior, have been immediately removed from the first team and would not play for Slavia again.[14] On 14 May 2026, Chorý was banned by the LFA Disciplinary commission for six matches.[15]

International career

edit

Chorý debuted for the Czech Republic senior team on 20 November 2023 in a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying Group E match against Moldova. In an eventful 3-0 victory Chorý scored a goal, got an assist, and was fouled to earn a Moldovan player his second yellow card to reduce his side to 10 men.[16]
