Parameters

Required parameters

logo: The team's logo (e.g., image.jpg). If there is no separate logo for the basketball program, and the primary athletics logo is copyright protected, a wordmark for the school's athletics program may be available to use here, if it is in the public domain.
university or college or institution: The parameter chosen dictates the label in the infobox. Please use institution for a sponsoring institution that is designated as something other than a university or a college, e.g., United States Naval Academy. You may wikilink the data you enter here.
NCAA_division: The team's current NCAA division. Only enter either I, II, or III. It will automatically be wikilinked.
conference: The team's current conference, preferably wikilinked.
location: The town/city where the team's campus is located. Include state/province (e.g. Lawrence, Kansas).
coach: The team's current head coach, preferably wikilinked.
tenure: Enter in ordinal format. A template can be used to make this entry evergreen (until there's a coaching change) and eliminate the task up updating it each year. For example, {{ordinal|{{age|2019|10|15}}}} produces 6th and will be updated each year on October 15. The word season will appear after the entry you make for this parameter.
hc_wins: The current head coach's number of wins during their tenure with the team.
hc_losses: The current head coach's number of losses during their tenure with the team
arena: The name of the team's primary home arena, preferably wikilinked.; If the team has more than one primary home arena, enter arena1<br>(capacity: xx,xxx)<br>arena2<br>(capacity: yy,yyy). Do not use the capacity parameter, if there is more than one home arena.
capacity: Seating capacity of home arena.
nickname: Wikilink to the main article about the school's athletic program.
NCAAchampion: List years of NCAA Division I tournament championships. Wikilink each year to the page for that year's national championship game.
NCAAfinalfour: List years in which team participated in NCAA Division I tournament Final Four. Wikilink each year to the page for that year's tournament.
conference_tournament: List years in which team won its conference tournament. Wikilink each year to the page for that year's tournament, if a page exists. Denote the specific conference for each year and wikilink to the main conference tournament page. Separate conferences with <hr>.

Optional parameters

name: By default, the infobox should use the name of the page on which it is placed. However, the background colors may not show up properly in the headers, if this is left blank.
women: Set to yes for articles about women's teams. Some infobox elements specific to women's teams will not work without activating this parameter.
current: Enter the title of the current season's article. It will be automatically wikilinked.
logo_size: The size in pixels at which the logo should be displayed (defaults to 100x150).
athletic_director: Name of the school's current athletic director, wikilinked if possible.
studentsection: Name of student section. If it has an article on Wikipedia, tag it.
all_time_wins: The team's number of all-time wins. Make sure to use a comma if the number is in the thousands.
all_time_losses: The team's number of all-time losses. Make sure to use a comma if the number is in the thousands.
all_time_ties: The team's number of all-time ties.
NCAA_t_wins: The team's number of all-time wins in the NCAA Division I tournament. For teams that have changed divisions, only count wins in the NCAA tournament for the current division they are in.
NCAA_t_losses: The team's number of all-time losses in the NCAA Division I tournament. For teams that have changed divisions, only count losses in the NCAA tournament for the current division they are in.
NCAA_D2_t_wins: The team's number of all-time wins in the NCAA Division II tournament. For teams that have changed divisions, only count wins in the NCAA tournament for the current division they are in.
NCAA_D2_t_losses: The team's number of all-time losses in the NCAA Division II tournament. For teams that have changed divisions, only count losses in the NCAA tournament for the current division they are in.
NCAA_D3_t_wins: The team's number of all-time wins in the NCAA Division III tournament. For teams that have changed divisions, only count wins in the NCAA tournament for the current division they are in.

record: The team's all-time record.
firstseason or founded: The parameter used dictates the label that will display in the infobox. It is preferable to use firstseason and enter the season the team first started playing. Wikilink to the team's season if a page exists. Then, add ; and use the {{Years or months ago}} template to input the first year (e.g. for 1920–21, use {{Years or months ago|1920}}).
history: If the team was formerly know by one or more other names, those names can be entered here along with the years they were used in parentheses. If there are multiple former names, separate each entry with <br>.
NCAAchampion2: List years of Helms Athletic Foundation championships before the inception of the NCAA tournament in 1939. Wikilink each year to the team's season page for that year, if a page exists.
NCAAchampion3: For men's teams, list years of Premo–Poretta championships before the inception of the NCAA tournament in 1939. Wikilink each year to the team's season page for that year, if a page exists.; For women's teams, list years of mythical national championships before the inception of the AIAW tournament in 1972, along with the name of the body designating the team as champions. This will create an infobox header called Notes, and the footnotes will be displayed below the header.
onenote: Set to yes to activate this parameter, if there is only one footnote to be displayed in the Notes section of the infobox. The title of the header will display as Note instead of Notes.
collapsenotes: Set to yes to activate this parameter. This will cause the Notes section of the infobox to appear in a collapsed state on page load. This can reduce infobox clutter, particularly if there is more than one footnote.
color1, color2, color3, color4, hex1, hex2, hex3 and hex4: The infobox template will generally find the team's colors and include a reference based on the name. It is usually unnecessary to use these parameters, which will override what the template finds. Caution: Making entries for these parameters can cause the template to fail to display the correct colors, even if the colors entered for these parameters are correct. So, these parameters should be used only if absolutely necessary.; If you are not seeing the colors you are expecting, check the list at Module:College color to make sure the name you are using matches the name on the list. If the name matches, and the colors are incorrect, you can make a request to change them at Module talk:College color.; The template will sort the school's colors to optimize the color contrast ratio of headers in the infobox.
