Séamus Egan → Seamus Egan – Seamus is consistently credited without a diacritic in his name. This includes the website for the Seamus Egan Project and his full discography, including collaborations. Discogs contains many photographs demonstrating this. Mandolin Cafe also contains discussion of a different Séamus Egan who does spell his name with a diacritic, but whose biography differs based on the description of the video from that page. - Support per nomination. Subject was born in America and, although he grew up in Ireland, his musical career is based in America. Thus, unlike Séamus Egan (judge) who served on the Irish High Court and Supreme Court, the musician apparently renders his name in non-accent/diacritic American form. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 20:46, 5 June 2025 (UTC)
"At the age of three his parents moved the family back home to County Mayo, Ireland."
editWhy does the current version of this article say that "At the age of three his parents moved the family back home to County Mayo, Ireland," then not mention when he moved back to the United States? That's a serious omission. 98.123.38.211 (talk) 04:06, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
- It's also never been sourced, and is far from the only problem with this page. I've taken out all the unsourced claims per WP:BLP. Sirfurboy🏄 (talk) 07:19, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
