– Likely misplaced or malformed disambiguation page, given the number of redirects and small details capitalization present in the lead. However, this did raise my interest when it caught my attention and these three titles will likely need to be assessed for WP:SMALLDETAILS. I think a PTOPIC will need to be determined and then a disambiguator created for the remaining title. Chasing down the three of these with the respective redirects at different capitalization was a little confusing intially as I was browsing from WP:NPP. Bobby Cohn 🍁 (talk) 22:07, 29 June 2025 (UTC)

I am sorry--this is my very first disambiguation page. The problem is that we have three elements now: an electronic literature work, a landscape painting tradition, and a poetry tradition. They all use the same idea, and differ in punctuation and capitalization.

I am reacting to a few people in the electronic literature community wondering where the article on the electronic literature work is.... so I thought I would try to clear that up. Please tell me if this is ok. Thanks

@Bobby Cohn Are we talking about renaming the articles themselves?

Shaun Shui is the correct title for the electronic literature work and should not be changed. Unless we do Shaun Shui (electronic literature)?

I am not the expert on Shaun Shui landscape painting or Shaun shui poetry--but I would suspect that as these are transliterated from Chinese, there would be more flexibility in renaming those? LoveElectronicLiterature (talk) 01:14, 30 June 2025 (UTC)

I contend that the difference between Shan shui, Shaun Shui and the redirect at Shan Shui present at this page aren't big enough differences in article titles to make clear to the reader. Don't feel bad @LoveElectronicLiterature, I think you did a good job in identifying a gap in the current system, I'm just looking to clean up the titling and add disambiguators where necessary to bring in line with MOS:AT, and because of my lack of knowledge in the area (and given this proceedure could be a contentious topic), I'm soliciting a wider opinion from the community. • Here's my suggestion:
  • Keep Shan shui where it is, because it's the primary topic.
  • Move Shaun Shui to Shan Shui (electronic literature). The spelling "Shaun" seems to be incorrect, and the disambiguator is needed as even with both words capitalized, the traditional painting style is the primary topic.
  • Move Shaun Shui (disambiguation) to Shan Shui (disambiguation) to correct the spelling.
