Notability
editThis article needs more information to establish Rodney Pocceschi's notability under applicable Wikipedia policies. Unfortunately, simply being a police officer killed in the line of duty does not automatically make him notable under Wikipedia policies and guidelines. --TommyBoy 04:19, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- You have nothing better to do on wiki than try to delete articles on wiki that have been there over a year and are about a police officer killed for no reason by a criminal scumbag? As far as I'm concerned, this makes him notable.Rlevse 11:28, 22 October 2006 (UTC)

- Me too. Rlevse 21:16, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- I have removed the "notability" tag from this article, because it conveyed the incorrect message that I support the possibility of the article being deleted. On the contrary, I would like to see the article expanded in order to fully establish its notability. --TommyBoy 14:54, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Rodney Pocceschi → Murder of Rodney Pocceschi – Pocceschi fails WP:VICTIM and WP:BLP1E, but his murder was notable per consensus, though no prejudice if another editor chooses to revisit that since so much time has elapsed. I chose "Murder" over "Killing" per WP:DEATH as Pocceschi's shooter was also killed in the incident. Raskuly 🐰 04:59, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

- You could have just moved it by yourself. I don’t think it would have controversial since his murder was the main notable contributor. I did the same with Sarah-Ann Root’s and it wasn’t a problem. It would be murder like other crimes where the killer is killed, it is called murder. ButteyFelicity (talk) 16:57, 29 May 2026 (UTC)
