Tarahumara languageRarámuri language – more common name as of recently; consistency between ethnic group and language; used throughout article 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 01:28, 19 May 2026 (UTC)  Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 01:43, 26 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Can you please have a more substantial policy argument? Grilledcheeseisgreat 02:36, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
WP:COMMONNAME; WP:NCL, I also quote from the latter: The names an ethnic group or Indigenous government self-identifies should be considered. If their autonym is commonly used in English, it would be the best article title. Any terms regarded as derogatory by members of the ethnic group in question should be avoided. 🪐Kepler-1229b | talk | contribs🪐 14:45, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
It seems Tarahumara is more common. However, since the consensus on the ethnic group itself is to call them "Rarámuri", I think "Rarámuri Language" would be less confusing as a title. Grilledcheeseisgreat 15:37, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
