I very much doubt that John Stapleton, eldest son of Sir Philip, had a son Thomas William Stapleton I, born in Lancashire. Sources all show him having six daughters, including Isabell Pennington listed, and a son Wilfred who died young. Thomas William has been deleted as a son of Sir Philip.Lois Hacker (talk)
