  • What I think should be changed: Update company name from PayScale to Payscale
  • Why it should be changed: Payscale changed the case of S in its name
  • References supporting the possible change (format using the "cite" button): https://www.payscale.com/[1]
  • What I think should be changed: Update company logo
  • Why it should be changed: Payscale rebranded and has a new logo

@COI - Jessica at Payscale: Is https://cdn.prod.website-files.com/678b9f42ff433e48155d0586/6815002921cb0e40bdfaaa83_logo-dark.svg the correct new logo? Its kind of unclear as the logo seems to appear in different colours in different parts of the website Bawolff (talk) 04:23, 5 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Bawolff: Yes, this logo is correct. Here are some additional links in case you'd rather use one of these versions.

Done for logo update and headquarters update. However I can't rename the page as Payscale is currently a redirect to pay scale, so I'll leave the edit COI tag for that part. You could maybe request that part on Wikipedia:Requested moves. Bawolff (talk) 00:26, 8 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved to Payscale (company). I see unanimous agreement for the idea of updating the capitalization to "Payscale". While one user suggested that WP:SMALLDETAILS sufficiently distinguishes "Payscale" from "pay scale", this view did not attract wide support; instead, I see consensus that pay scale was the primary topic for "payscale" alone, necessitating a disambiguator for this article. Among users who proposed disambiguating the title, "(company)" was the unanimous preference. Concerns were raised that the article at pay scale is currently a WP:DICDEF, but (as some participants noted) addressing the DICDEF would be out of scope for this current proposal. PayScalePayscale – Payscale rebranded and now goes by Payscale with a lower case s. Users can be confused by locating an article under PayScale, as this doesn't reflect the organization's correct name. Currently, payscale redirects to pay scale. For disambiguation, it is suggested to have a redirect for users to choose either Payscale the organization or pay scale the term. This approach is already taken with similar terms. On the other hand, I agree that the pay scale article is just a dicdef. — BarrelProof (talk) 01:01, 19 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
  • Support Payscale (company) per WP:ASTONISH. This company is most certainly not the primary topic for the term. -- Necrothesp (talk) 11:56, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Is it possible to keep the payscale to pay scale redirect, and have a link at the top of pay scale in the event users are looking for the company Payscale? My only goal is to correct the company name to be accurate. COI - Jessica at Payscale (talk) 13:40, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
The inclusion of a hatnote is generally out of scope for these discussions. I generally don't have an objection myself but have seen other editors remove such hatnotes to topics not otherwise deemed likely to cause confusion - best bet would be to add the hatnote after the discussion closes (or submit an edit request, as might be appropriate). On the topic of WP:DICDEF I do agree, that page could potentially be redirected to the Wiktionary definition (but that's also out of scope here.) ASUKITE 17:14, 25 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
