Non-neutral additions using unreliable references

edit

Onicius, I strongly object to the addition of non-neutral content clearly biased towards China's official policy on this village. The reliance on Chinese state media and websites which are unreliable, over various different English-language sources already present, degrades the neutrality of the article. I notice you made similarly partisan edits at Eldad Reef which were also reverted for related reasons.

For these reasons, I am reverting the article to its previous state. I will not engage in an edit war with you, so if you revert me again I will be requesting an uninvolved editor to give a third opinion and adjudicate the issue. Fritzmann (message me) 15:12, 4 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

I checked the sources I cited. I admit that there are indeed sources that Wikipedia prohibits citing, which is my negligence. I will delete them and further read Wikipedia's requirements for reliable sources to further review whether the information in the entire article is reliable. At the same time, you should note that this is a village built by China, so some reliable sources in Chinese are necessary, which will help improve the content of the article. I will also check if the materials cited in your article are reliable, and if they are unreliable, I will delete them. Blindly considering all Chinese materials as unreliable and all English materials as reliable cannot be called neutral.
The article is mostly only about the village from an Indian perspective, so whether it conforms to neutrality is still questionable. I have tried to follow neutrality as much as possible for the depiction of the entire article, Although some of the sources I cited are prohibited, I did't use words that violate neutrality in those prohibited sources. There is no bar on Chinese language sources, but please include the full information in citations. I have included a couple of them here for examples. Even government sources can be used for factual information.
