Ottawa, IL Micropolitan Statistical Area → Ottawa, Illinois, micropolitan area – More natural name for μSAs in the United States. 2600:1700:6180:6290:8809:7A01:B960:FC8 (talk) 16:31, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
- Support per nom and to remove the postal-style state abbreviation and lopsided comma use. We should also treat similar titles consistently, as in:
- Corbin, KY Micropolitan Statistical Area → Corbin, Kentucky, micropolitan area
- London, KY Micropolitan Statistical Area → London, Kentucky, micropolitan area
- Talladega-Sylacauga, AL Micropolitan Statistical Area → Talladega-Sylacauga micropolitan area
- Charleston–Mattoon, IL Micropolitan Statistical Area → Charleston–Mattoon micropolitan area
- Fort Madison–Keokuk, IA-IL-MO Micropolitan Statistical Area → Fort Madison–Keokuk micropolitan area
- Please note that I have suggested removing the state identification from the article titles that have unambiguous combined-area identifiers. The MOS:USPLACE custom of requiring inclusion of the state name does not seem to be applied to such areas. (See, e.g., Boise metropolitan area, Chattanooga metropolitan area, Memphis metropolitan area and Nashville metropolitan area.)
- I have placed RM discussion notices on the talk pages of all of those articles.
