Title capitalization
editThis has been bugging me for a while now, but is it possible to rename this article so that the "To" in the article title is lowercase? "To" is a preposition, and therefore, needs to be lowercase. I tried to do it myself, but the title with the lowercase word is being used as a redirect to this page. Thanks. - For the record, "to" in this case is not a preposition, but part of an infinitive verb; in either case, "to" shouldn't be capitalized. MPFitz1968 (talk) 16:13, 1 July 2024 (UTC)

No Time to Spy: A Loud House Movie → No Time to Spy – Per WP:NCFILM:

- Oppose. I prefer the subtitle staying because, apart from nearly every piece of promotional content there is for this film using the subtitle, I think it helps emphasize which franchise the film originates. You could make the argument that, "It's the only film ever made with this title," but the inclusion of the subtitle would not only let people know right off the bat it's about The Loud House, but it would also make searching this film up even more streamlined, as having it in the title lets you know right off the bat that you're clicking on the right link when looking it up in the search bar. - Relisting comment: As there is an established naming convention, further discussion will be needed to make an exception to it, as it stands we do not yet have consensus ASUKITE 16:54, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
- Support. The resulting redirect will ensure that the article is no more difficult to find. As nom points out, the naming convention reads in part Branding subtitles – Subtitles and possessives used for brand recognition may be omitted for concision, unless they are being used for natural disambiguation. There is no reason to depart from that here. Andrewa (talk) 02:30, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
Page move comment
editSorry to say this, but if the page moved due to the Branding subtitles, how about Saving Bikini Bottom: The Sandy Cheeks Movie then, if so the page should be moved to Saving Bikini Bottom if the reason is used. I agree with AnimationFan15 with the opposing of the page move.
In other related discussions about The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie page move to only The Day the Earth Blew Up, the same user requesting the page move with the majority opposing it (with 4 oppose and 1 support). As the results, the page has not moved.
Also, it weird to close the consensus with the only 2 tied votes (one agreed, and one disagreed). The consensus should be closed with the majority results (for example 3 agreed, and 1 disagreed). Enperfectify World (talk) 16:09, 14 March 2025 (UTC)
- No, consensus is not a head count. That's why we talk of !votes. See also Wikipedia:Glossary#!vote. This is a common misunderstanding, and unsurprisingly so, as Wikipedia has been a significant early adopter of consensus decision making.
- But consensus can change and in view of the recent decision above, it may be worth discussing a similar move for the two articles you name. Consistency in article titles is also worth a read, and while it's just an essay it does link helpfully to the relevant policies. Andrewa (talk) 21:53, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
- I will contest that and say that this decision can easily open the gateways to a whole host of problems that would not exist if the subtitles are kept. For example, take the Diary of a Wimpy Kid films. The third is subtitled, Dog Days. If we are to apply this way of thinking to that series than the title would conflict with Dog Days (2018), not to be confused with Dog Days (2024). Then you could argue that the Diary of a Wimpy Kid subtitle would be added just for this one case, but that would create a lack of consistency in the naming convention used for the articles of the series.
