Anecdote
editOne of his works caused a controversy in Vietnam recently. In a college entrance exam, an honors student answered a prompt regarding his poem "Văn tế nghĩa sĩ Cần Giuộc" (Elegy for the Can Giuoc Martyrs), saying that it was obtuse and boring and irrelevant to her.
