• I'm not going to fail it on this basis, but I personally do not cite Britannica.
• The couple refs I checked showed no verification, OR, or CLOP issues.
• I made one minor alteration to a translation to make it a bit more idiomatic, since the French word seems to have a broader meaning than its cognate, but that is optional.

Thanks for the review User:buidhe, much appreciated. I've not been as active as I'd have liked to be myself so no worries about the time taken. Britannica was a convenient source to cover "The Germans established Vichy France as a client state in the south of the country and occupied the north. Vichy France maintained an army".
