Guinea pigs or peccary?

The source in question that the guinea pig or peccary was the original host species is from 1989. A more recent source from 2019 does not state this (although it does not go into detail about the origins) and says that it commonly infects carnivores. Going from guinea pigs or peccary to carnivores is quite a change.[1] Sacristy (talk) 21:00, 2 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
