“Elage Bah’s legal name”
editElage Bah's real name is actually Thierno Maadiou Bah he only goes by that name when playing soccer however his legal name is Thierno Maadiou Bah. ThiernoBah7 (talk) 22:55, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- Yep, so it would be like the page for Diogo Jota. The commonly used name used in media/professionally "i.e. Diogo Jota / Elage Bah" would be the article title and the name listed above the information box, then the full legal name (i.e. Diogo José Teixeira da Silva / Thierno Maadiou Bah) appears in the information box where it says full name. This is how it currently is. RedPatch (talk) 01:32, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- If in the future, he begins to go by his legal name professionally, then it would change and the article moved to the new name, similar to how Janine Beckie now goes by Janine Sonis, but given how he still currently is known as Elage Bah in the CPL, the article uses that as the article title. RedPatch (talk) 01:35, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Makes sense however I’ve requested that the CPL calls me Thierno Bah and that he no longer goes by Elage Bah. I know this because I am Thierno Bah player for Vancouver Football Club.(Don’t know how I can prove it but I’d love to) Now I just wanted to know how can I switch my name on here because I no longer want to be known as “Elage” but rather by my legal name. ThiernoBah7 (talk) 20:50, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
- I see that sources have been using Thierno in 2025, so I requested a formal article name change below. RedPatch (talk) 11:24, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
- thank you! ThiernoBah7 (talk) 03:44, 24 July 2025 (UTC)

Elage Bah → Thierno Bah (soccer, born 2004) – Player now goes by his legal name, rather than his nickname, which he used to go by. Sources include his club team, articles from the league example 1, example 2, articles from secondary sources OneSoccer, Chiliwack Progress. Player also uses this name on social media. *Oppose. I think disambiguation is not needed here unless there is another article similar to this name. I have reviewed your mentioned references above and saw mentioning him as Thierno Bah which is his legal name but I think it is not primary topic. In my opinion, Elage Bah is a primary topic as it is a highly searched name. And almost all of the references presented in his article use Elage Bah. Fade258 (talk) 12:50, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Comment The references use that because he used to go by that name pre-2025. So pre-2025 sources use Elage, the post-2025 ones predominantly use Thierno. RedPatch (talk) 13:03, 21 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @RedPatch, Thanks for the clarification. I am striking my above comments and reconsidering my opinion followed by placing a new comments below this message. Fade258 (talk) 02:41, 23 July 2025 (UTC)
