"Bilbo sword"
editOne almost has to laugh when you visit Ref #5 (http: //art-of-swords.tumblr.com/post/31976650819/the-bilbo-sword-contrary-to-the-lord-of-the) and see that it claims that its source is wikipedia. Which came first, the chicken or the egg? 72.182.33.219 (talk) 00:40, 22 January 2015 (UTC)Eric
Is "Popular in America" a bizarre first sentence?
editThis style of sword originates in/around Bilbao, does it not? Bilbao is in Basque Spain. Which is not in the Americas, or in the United States of America, which is called : America.
Why does this article identify in its very first sentence the entire sword type to America? What does that even mean, in this context: the New World... the former colonies that later became the United States... the Spanish colonies?
Imagine this article were for Royal Enfield motorcycles (an English company) or more generally, the motorcycle. It would be wrong and bad to start that imaginary article here on WP, by saying, these are popular in India. Which is both true and a kind of irrelevant.
Thoughts? 2600:4040:5AEF:B400:D972:5548:54A:E486 (talk) 14:33, 30 August 2025 (UTC)
