René Orlando Oliveira (March 14, 1955 – January 23, 2024) was an American attorney and politician. He was a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives. He was first elected to represent the 37th district in 1981. After losing a 1986 bid for the Texas State Senate, he was out of office from 1987 until he regained his seat in the Texas House in the 1990 election.[1]

Oliveira was arrested and charged for driving under the influence in April 2018.[2] He was defeated for re-election in the May 2018 primary runoff election by Alex Dominguez.[3]
Oliveira died on January 23, 2024, at the age of 68.[4]
