Because of WP:EDITSUMMARY, when creating new sections, the gadget edit description is added to the subject heading. Please clean up by hand.

Enabling wikEd breaks Wikipedia:Citation expander

If I have both wikEd and Wikipedia:Citation expander enabled, the Citation expander gadget doesn't work. Disabling wikEd solves this, but then I lose wikEd. Cross-reported at wikEd. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 05:36, 28 February 2019 (UTC)

According to The DJ at wikEd, it's because "citation expand doesn't support jQuery.textSelection". Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 05:52, 5 April 2019 (UTC)

how add gadget on kannada wiki

There are too many "date format errors in template". Mostly due to use of kannada numerals or arbitary use of date format in cite & infobox templates. If this can fix issues? I assume this requires some kind of admin rights. If not, how do i activate? రుద్రుడు (talk) 09:42, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

Also, the bot does not have an account on KN wiki, so it cannot edit that wiki. AManWithNoPlan (talk) 16:25, 15 March 2023 (UTC)

Citation Bot blocked

Just a note that Citation Bot has been blocked on en-wiki after a discussion at ANI so this won't work temporarily over here. Danners430 _{tweaks made} 10:02, 25 November 2025 (UTC)

Specifically the "Expand citations" toolbar link doesn't work, but the "Expand citations" button next to show changes still does - it applies the bot edits to the textbox (and then you save in your own name), so doesn't care if the bot is blocked. * Pppery * _{it has begun...} 17:49, 28 November 2025 (UTC)

Button doesn't seem to be handling Template:Citation properly

See for example this edit. I know it knows that this doi is a book, because if I switch the template to cite web it correctly changes it. I also know the metadata is correct because WP:Citer gets it correct. I mostly just want this addressed so I can handle the books using the incorrect Title/Work format instead of Chapter/Title faster. ~ฅ(ↀωↀ=)neko-chan^nyan 22:15, 27 April 2026 (UTC)
