The 2026 California lieutenant gubernatorial election will be held on November 3, 2026, to elect the lieutenant governor of California. Incumbent Democrat Eleni Kounalakis is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third term in office; she is instead running for state treasurer.[1] A primary election was held on June 2 with Democrat Fiona Ma, the state's Treasurer, advancing to the general election alongside Republican former state senator Gloria Romero.[2]
