In this map only highlighted foreign powers and mughal. But what about [Maratha Empire] after coronation in 1674 King [shivaji] was the most powerful in Deccan.

Wrong map

The map is politically wrong, though common in older atlases. It reflects imperial claims, not ground reality. For serious history, Garhwal and Kumaon in 1700 should be shown as independent hill kingdoms, not Mughal territory. ~2026-73795-6 (talk) 08:19, 3 February 2026 (UTC)
