The Commonwealth did not have a flag

The Icelandic commonwealth did not have a flag. The concept of flags didn’t even exist back then. This flag design is a recent creation based on a theoretical coat of arms the commonwealth might have had. Stating that this is the flag of the commonwealth is very misleading.
