English: Delivered new 27th May 1980. On the 23rd Jan 1982 the aircraft made an approach to runway 15R at KBOS and touched down 2800ft past the threshold.The crew sensed that the aircraft couldn't be stopped on the remaining runway,so steered the DC-10 off the side of the runway but then slid into the shallow water. The nose section separated and 2 pax died, out of 200 pax and 12 crew.
