Though this image is subject to copyright, I feel its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- This is an image uploaded for informational purposes only, to visually identify William Conrad 's portrayal of the title character in the NBC TV series Nero Wolfe (1981), the subject of the article, in the article infobox.
- The image is an accurate low-resolution scan of a color promotional slide distributed by NBC, which intended promotional use.
- This image is of low resolution. It cannot be used for high-resolution printing, and any copies made from it will be of inferior quality.
- The photograph's inclusion in the article Nero Wolfe (1981 TV series) adds to it significantly because it visually identifies William Conrad (1920–1994) in his performance of the role of Nero Wolfe in the first television series based on the fictional detective. The publicity photo shows Conrad in character in the plant rooms, with orchids that are discussed in the content of the article.
- The copyright owner's rights to reproduce the image are not limited in any way.
