English: Vernon Pitfall Trap for catching Agriotes click beetles. The trap is placed in a hole in the ground and contains a plastic cup for collecting the beetles. The lid (removed here) has the pheromone lure placed on a sticky tape and attached to the underside of the lid. The lid leaves a gap along its outer edge, allowing the beetles to crawl into the trap and fall into the collection cup. |
