Blazon
  • On a shield-shaped embroidered item edged along the outside with a 1/8-inch yellow border blazoned as follows: Per chevron reversed rompu Azure and Gules, a chevronel reversed rompu Argent, overall a saber and blacksmithing hammer in saltire Or. Overall dimensions are 2-1/2 inches in width by 3-1/8 inches in height.
Symbolism
  • A shift in vision is illustrated by the chevron rompu, the chevronel is colored white to emphasize new beginnings in the testing of concepts and technologies. The shield's overall color scheme commemorates Futures and Concept Command's pioneering of all arms maneuver and the expansion of traditional combined arms maneuver principles in defense of our nation. The gold saber represents lethality and precision at the forward edge of battle. The blacksmithing hammer stands for the command's motto, FORGING THE VISION, and both tools are colored gold to highlight the Futures and Concepts Command as the primary designer of the future Army.

  • The shoulder sleeve insignia was approved effective 1 January 2026.
