English: Caption: "The Siamese ambassador who attended The Court of King Charles the 1st. Rubens made the above described drawing just before he left England anno 1636." This engraving, produced by the Irish printmaker William Baillie (1723–1810) on 17 June 1774, is a nearly exact copy of the drawing made by the Flemish artist Peter Paul Rubens (1577-1640) in 1636. The name of this Siamese ambassador is unknown. He came from the Ayutthaya Kingdom (1351–1767). There is a Siamese ship in the background. This print promoted the collection of the drawing's owner, Mr. Willet. Physical Dimensions: 49.8 × 32.4 cm (19 5/8 × 12 3/4 in.). Type: Etching. Medium: Crayon manner etching.
