Stema comunei Baia de Criş, potrivit anexei nr. 1.2, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, scartelat. În partea superioară, în dreapta, în câmp albastru, se află un stejar de aur. În partea superioară, în stânga, în câmp roşu, se află o sabie de argint. În vârful scutului, în dreapta, în câmp roşu, se află două ciocane de minerit încrucişate de argint. În vârful scutului, în stânga, în câmp albastru, se află un munte de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat. Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate: Stejarul reprezintă Gorunul lui Horea din satul Ţebea, monument al naturii. Sabia de argint evocă Revoluţia de la 1848, condusă în Transilvania de Avram Iancu, fiind înmormântat în această localitate. Ciocanele de minerit simbolizează mina Adamul Vechi din satul Căraci, monument de arhitectură industrială. Muntele reprezintă muntele Caraciu, de unde se extrag zăcăminte de aur. Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
