Stema comunei Moieciu, potrivit anexei nr. 1.2, se compune dintr-un scut triunghiular cu marginile rotunjite, cu vârf de ţeapă. În partea dreaptă, în câmp roşu, se află un cap de cerb cu gât de aur, văzut din faţă. În partea stângă, în câmp roşu, se află o biserică de aur stilizată, aşezată frontal, având un turn în stil baroc târziu, cu acoperişul surmontat de o cruce; corpul turnului prezintă două ferestre arcuite suprapuse despărţite de o cornişe dreptunghiulară; uşa de la intrare este dreptunghiulară cu ancadrament, având deasupra o fereastră arcuită; în dreapta şi în stânga uşii se află câte o fereastră arcuită mai mică. În vârful de ţeapă, în câmp albastru, se află un brad de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat. Semnificaţiile elementelor însumate: Bradul şi capul de cerb reprezintă bogăţia silvică şi cinegetică a zonei. Biserica evocă Biserica Adormirea Maicii Domnului, construită în anul 1813, în Cheia, sat component al localităţii. Coroana murală cu un turn crenelat semnifică faptul că localitatea are rangul de comună.
