Die Kathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris ist eines der bedeutendsten Bauwerke der Gotik und ein Wahrzeichen von Paris. Der Bau begann 1163 unter Bischof Maurice de Sully und dauerte bis ins 14. Jahrhundert. Errichtet auf der Île de la Cité, wurde sie religiöses und politisches Zentrum Frankreichs. Charakteristisch sind die beiden 69 Meter hohen Westtürme, die große Rosette, filigrane Maßwerke und die berühmten Wasserspeier. Die Kathedrale misst etwa 130 Meter in der Länge und beeindruckt durch ihr hohes, lichtdurchflutetes Mittelschiff. Im Laufe der Geschichte war Notre-Dame Schauplatz bedeutender Ereignisse, etwa der Krönung Napoleons 1804. Im 19. Jahrhundert wurde sie unter Leitung von Eugène Viollet-le-Duc restauriert, der auch den markanten Vierungsturm schuf. Am 15. Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris is one of the most important Gothic buildings and a symbol of Paris. Construction began in 1163 under Bishop Maurice de Sully and lasted until the 14th century. Built on the Île de la Cité, it became the religious and political center of France. Its characteristic features include the two 69-meter-high western towers, the large rose window, filigree tracery, and the famous gargoyles. The cathedral is approximately 130 meters long and impresses with its high, light-flooded nave. Throughout history, Notre Dame has been the scene of significant events, such as Napoleon’s coronation in 1804. In the 19th century, it was restored under the direction of Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, who also created the striking crossing tower. On April 15, 2019, a major fire destroyed large parts of the roof and the crossing tower. Since then, extensive reconstruction work has been underway. Au XIXe siècle, elle a été restaurée sous la direction d’Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, qui a également créé la tour de croisée caractéristique. Even though a wiki offers a wide range of possibilities, some changes are possible but not permitted. The creator of the image has made it available here under the specific license mentioned. The three components — image file, license, and filename (title) — are inextricably linked. Always keep in mind that images are also used outside the Wikimedia Commons ecosystem. In those contexts, attribution specifically refers to this exact location and this exact image file here.
- If you make changes to the image and want to make the modified image available to others here, upload the result under a new name and credit yourself as the editor — even for very minor changes. The templates Derivative and Extract are also available for this purpose. In addition, the user should make minor corrections only to the source file they have on hand. The source is — as a rule — a RAW file. Editing a JPEG file always results in an undesirable loss of quality.
