RAF serial ZA452.
c/n 247, l/n BS082.
Built 1983.
The museum most recent arrival and still under final re-assembly, ZA452 served in Operation Desert Storm and later went on to become one of 26 GR.1B conversions for the anti-shipping role. The entire fleet was later upgraded to GR.4 standard and as such she is currently the only GR.4 in preservation. It was delivered as a kit of parts and only when put together was it realised that the two intakes were both left hand items!
While a right hand intake is awaited, it allows shots of a bit of Tornado that you don't usually see!
On display at the Midland Air Museum, Coventry Airport, UK.
