Summary
editA screenshot from Night Manor from the UFO 50 collection. Promotional material provided by the publisher, Mossmouth Games. Retrieved from: https://50games.fun/#media
I believe this is non-free, with copyright belonging to Mossmouth.
The fair use rationale is to illustrate the Wikipedia article for UFO 50, specifically to provide the reader with an understanding of the artistic style and game design approach both of the specific game and UFO 50 as a whole. Because it is a still, non-interactive image representing a game state of a dynamic, interactive game, whose commercial value is derived in large part from the interactive, audible, and dynamic elements (none of which are present here), this is a minimal use of the game's content. Further, because this was freely provided in a media kit by the developers to promote (rather than discourage) sales of their game, use of this image on this encyclopedia cannot be construed as hindering Mossmouth's commercial rights.
Note also that while multiple screenshots are being uploaded from the UFO 50 collection, each screenshot is from a different game within the collection. These games have different artistic styles (though with some unifying elements), and distinct game design which is also hinted at in these images. Therefore it is necessary to illustrate multiple games, both to showcase the variety of games in UFO 50 (an important point in Mossmouth's promotion of the collection), as well as the commonalities (which is also an essential part of the nature of UFO 50).
I am not aware of a copyright-free alternative that accomplishes for this encyclopedia's educational purposes what this image does.
