1) The dress combined with the makeup and hair styling is a unique visual design. The runway styling is a major part of the collection and is heavily discussed in the article.
2) Any duplicate look would be an obviously inferior knock-off, and using a photograph of one would be misleading to the reader. 3) Any duplicate look would also also lack the unique historical context of the runway presentation. 4) The photograph is believed to be copyrighted and not released under a free license, so creation of a free image is not possible. Any recreation of the garment, or of the original runway performance, would be a pale imitation of the real thing. |

2) The photo is publicly and freely available on the Vogue website as part of their review for the collection. Re-using the single photograph can't replace the commercial value of the entire review and high-resolution photo set from their website. |
