Scan of family portrait photograph whose author died more than 70 years ago; copyright expired under British law. Of interest is that he wears the Order of the Bath before the Victoria Cross although the VC takes precedence over all other decorations and indeed was awarded to him first. There may have been some confusion over this in the early days of the VC as the Bath was a much older decoration and had been given to officers for acts of courage before the VC came into being.
