Norsk bokmål: Klovningen ligger i den ytre skjærgården utenfor Husevågøy i utløpet av Nordfjord om lag 5 km sør-vest for Vågsøy. Øya er en viktig hekke- plass for flere arter av sjøfugl. På vestsida av øya er den nest største kolonien av Krykkje i fylket. Hekking av m.a. havhest, ærfugl, tjeld, steinvendar, svartbak, teist og skjerpiplerke. Viktig beite- plass for gjæser. Fuglelivet på Klovningen er vernet
Under krigen kalte tyskerne den for "Norwegischer Löwe". |
