|image has rationale=yes as a parameter to the license template. This image is from a low-resolution photo (highly cropped and reduced in scale) of a photo reproduced on page 27 of Dr. Phoebe B. Stanton's (now long out of print) monograph entitled The Sculptural Landscape of Jane Frank. (pub. 1968, A. S. Barnes, New York and London, ISBN 1125323175). The image is substantially relevant to the article as a small facial portrait helps complete this biographical article and make it more readable. The fact that the photo is greatly reduced in size and quality and furthermore not available anywhere else on the internet plainly makes its inclusion in this article an example of "fair use". The use of this photo here cannot possibly adversely affect the commercial prospects for future sale of this book, of the original photo, of high quality reproductions of the photo, or of the art of Jane Frank in general — in fact, the likely effect (if any) should be quite the opposite. Inclusion of this thumb image is an educational service to everyone in the world community interested in the history of art, and particularly those interested in women's contributions to American modern and contemporary art of the 1950s through the 1980s.
