Summary

Description
English: This photo was taken during Jack L. Zimmerman's deployment to Tinian Island. During the Tinian port visit, various portions of the airfield were off-limits to most aviators for maintenance. What Jack didn't know was that this area housed the Enola Gay, which was the first aircraft that dropped the Atomic Bomb. This picture was in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C., during a special exhibit on the Enola Gay.
