📄 FULL ASYLUM STATEMENT (FINAL VERSION)

👤 Personal Information

  • Full Name: Ahmad Omid
  • Surname: Azizi
  • Father’s Name: Azizullah
  • Year of Birth: 1994 (1373)
  • Nationality: Afghan
  • Province: Jowzjan, Afghanistan

🛡️ Military / Security Background

I started working in 2015 (1394) in the National Directorate of Security (NDS) of Afghanistan in Jowzjan Province. My first position was in the Logistics Department, and I held the military rank of Turan (Lieutenant level).

In 2018 (1398), I was promoted to Deputy Commander of the “Pirooz Operational Unit”.

In 2019 (1399), I participated in multiple military operations against insurgent groups, including clearance operations along Highway No. 2 between Jowzjan and Sar-e-Pul provinces for approximately two months. I also participated in operations in several districts of Jowzjan Province.

Due to my dedicated service, I received official appreciation letters from the Jowzjan Provincial Authority and the Provincial Council.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Background

My wife also worked for the National Directorate of Security of Afghanistan as a staff member in the targeted operations department, holding the rank of Second Sergeant.

During the conflict, my wife and our three children (one son and two daughters) were relocated to Mazar-e-Sharif for safety. My mother and sisters were also relocated for protection.

⚔️ War Events and Situation in Afghanistan

During the conflict in Jowzjan Province, I was actively engaged in operations in Sheberghan city.

After the fall of the city:

  • I was transferred to a mountainous area
  • Later, I moved with other forces and Commander Sarwar toward Mazar-e-Sharif
  • During the movement, we were ambushed several times
  • In one of the clashes, Commander Sarwar was killed
  • Later, the area was targeted by airstrikes, and enemy forces retreated
  • I then reached Mazar-e-Sharif and reported to NDS Balkh, but the situation was already collapsing

After the complete collapse of government forces, I had no safe option and was forced to flee.

🏠 Home Attack Incident

One night, armed individuals forcibly entered our home. They tied me, my wife, and my children. They stole all our valuables, including gold, cash, and my wedding documents and personal belongings.

This incident caused serious psychological trauma to my family and significantly increased our fear for our lives.

🏃‍♂️ Escape and Displacement History

🇮🇷 Iran

After the fall of Afghanistan, I fled to Iran illegally with the help of smugglers. I lived there for approximately two and a half years without legal status. Despite having a registration document, I was arrested by Iranian police and deported back to Afghanistan.

🇸🇦 Saudi Arabia

Later, I traveled to Saudi Arabia for Umrah with a short-term visa (three months). After overstaying for about one year, I was arrested by Saudi police, detained for 15 days, and then deported back to Afghanistan.

⚠️ Current Situation

Currently, I am living in Jowzjan Province, Afghanistan, with my wife and children. However, due to my previous position in the National Directorate of Security and my participation in military operations, we live under constant fear and serious security threats.

We believe that our lives are in danger and we have no safe place to live inside Afghanistan.

🧭 Reason for Seeking Protection

I am requesting international protection because:

  • I worked for the Afghan National Directorate of Security
  • I participated in military operations against armed groups
  • I and my family have been directly threatened and attacked
  • Our home was violently attacked by armed individuals
  • We are currently at serious risk in Afghanistan

We fear for our lives if we remain in the country.

📌 Declaration

I confirm that all the information provided in this statement is true and correct to the best of my knowledge.
