English: IRTS (Infrared Telescope in Space), an experimental infrared space telescope, which was one of the payload aboard the SFU (Space Flyer Unit). It was launched into low-earth orbit in 1995 by H-II rocket, and later retrieved and brought back to Earth by the Space Shuttle Endeavour.
Exhibited at the Communication Hall of Space Science and Exploration, in Sagamihara Campus of the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS), Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan.
